Happy Holidays!!

Hello all. Happy holidays to you. Hopefully, Christmas was a blessed and joyous occasion for you all.

Well I spent a nice restful day at home today after going boxing day shopping yesterday with my bf and his family. Fun times!

I washed my hair today using Ateyaaa's method and let me tell you, she is genius!

My hair is natural so at first I didn't know if it would work for me but it does. This is what I did.

1. I shampooed with ApHogee Damaged Shampoo. I lathered twice
2. I worked a generous glob of ApHogee 2-minute Reconstructor into my hair, and left it on with a shower cap for 10 minutes then rinsed it out
3. I sprayed ApHogee Protein Leave-In Conditioner all over my hair in a spray bottle for easier use
4. I sprayed ApHogee Keratin and Green Tea reconstructor in then massaged my scalp
5. I used a wide toothed comb, flipped my hair forward and gently combed it through

By then my hair was feeling soo nice.

6. I poured a dollar sized (Canadian Dollar in case your wondering) amount of Chi Silk Infusion onto my hand and worked that into my hair.

It makes your hair feel soooooooooooooooooooooo soft. Now remember my hair is natural and Chi Silk Infusion made the comb glide through my hair with little to no effort. This product is amazing!

Afterwards I blow dried my hair, and used my CHI flat iron to flat iron my hair in small sections. I must say for my first time doing this on my own it came out better then I thought. Now this is from someone who was ready to cut her hair off because it was so hard to manage. I LOVE IT NOW! This regimen gives me hope that I can do my hair myself and have it come out more then decent! Thanks Ateyaaa!!

After flat ironing, I wrapped it and put 2 stocking caps (yes two I want it flat) and a bandana so in the morning it will fall very nicely. I don't have oil sheen in my room at the moment which is the step before wrapping your hair. I'll spray some on tomorrow.

Sorry no pics but my hair is definitely swinging!

If you want to check out Ateyaaa's full regimen and some of her other HOT tutorial videos check her out on youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7joDaDZJAk

She is great!!!!!!

Ok bye for now guys! :)

Blue Magic

Hello all!!

So remember how I promised to doa look with the HIP eye shadows I bought on Monday? Well here is my first one. I will be doing 5. The first one is for the Roaring Duo Pallette
First thing I did was do my prep & foundation.
MAC Moisturelush mositurizer
MAC prep + prime
**wipe excess with a towel then let set for about 30 seconds**
MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC50 Foundation
Set with MAC Pressed Blot Powder
These are the additional colours I used

I sprayed the fix+ onto all my shadow brushes
Blue from the HIP duo and patted it all over my crease.
Next, I chose Tilt from the MAC pallette and put that over the blue
Next I chose colour 2 Patina and patted that on the inner corner of the eye and blended it out into the blue.
Using the rounded crease brush I patted colour 3 onto the outer corner of my eye then blended it out into the brow bone and crease.
From the devious pallette used the brown and blended it on the brow bone
This is the affect I got

What do you guys think? Its subtle on camera but more dramatic in person. I like it.

My Mac Day at the Mall!

Hi ya'll!

As I mentioned I went to a job interview today and one my way out I decided to stop at the mall and do some holiday shopping. My bf loves Mexx so I got him something there and I got my mom something to from a different store. So after crossing them off my list I decided to move on to the next person...ME!!

The above Blot Powder is in this bottom colour.

I went to MAC and picked up a select pressed blot powder in Deep Dark. LOVE IT! I think I have really moved along in my journey from when I started 3 weeks ago because a Black lady was standing behind me in MAC and once the lady in front of me was served she promptly moved forward and began to ask a question to the cashier. The cashier smiled and politely told her I was next in line and asked me what I needed. I told her the MAC select blot powder and she proceeded to help me with the colour selection.

As she was doing that, the same Black lady began to say that her daughter prefers Bobby Brown and asked me why dont I go there instead. In my head I'm thinking nooo she didnt. Why do I gotta go clear across to the OTHER side of the mall to get powder when I was next in line??? She is not serious right now. So I politley smiled, nodded and tuned her out because she is an older Caribbean woman and my parents have taught me to respect my elders.

So she proceeds to listen in to the conversation we are having then interrupts and says "oh, MAC powders make you look ashy, you should try Bobby Brown. You have nice skin".
I smile again and say "thank you but I like the powders here" and tell the make-up artist I would like one compact. Plus in my head I'm thinking I dont have Bobby Brown money right now! I can barely afford MAC on my slim budget!

Gotta love the older Caribbean ladies! They dont care who is standing there, they just tell it like it is.

I also picked up a crease brush from Sephora.
It was $19 but its similar to the blending brush I bought from MAC 3 years ago and lost it
Loves it! I would try out the brush but my brother is coming over with my nephew so I am going to try it out tommarow!!!!

In the meantime here is some of the eye looks I have been practicing.

Hope you guys like, tell me what you think?

Mini L'Oreal H.I.P Haul and colour swatches

Good afternoon all!!!

So I have really been feening to buy some make up lately. Like badly! I live in Canada so I went to PharmaPlus to check out how much they had their H.I.P makeup for and was pleasently surprised that they had it on sale for $5.99. $5.99!!! I bought my first one 2 weeks earlier for $8. It's at Shopper's Drug Mart for $10.49 so when I saw this I was happy. I picked up about 5 and a few different shades. So in a way this is my first official mini haul LOL
Check out the colours here:

I also did some swatches on my hand. My hand is a bit darker then my face so I dont take this as a perfect approximation of how it will stand out against my skin but its close enough for me.

The swatching is in this order. I placed the H.I.P pots in order of the swatches from the top of my hand to the bottom.

As you can see some of the colours are more vibrant than others. I notice that the browns are not very noticeable which is ok. For browns I dont really want them to stand out tooo much. I want them to be neutral. I went for a job interview today and a mixed some of the browns and it was fine because I didnt want to vamp it up.

This is what I put on my eyes for my interview today. Its really light as you can see.

I didnt do a look last night with the more vibrant colours because at 11 pm I was really tired and my eyes were hurting so I went to bed. I do apologize. Next time I will do a look with them.

What do you think?
