Good morning ladies.
I have been using Jamaican Black Castor Oil (JBCO) for the past 3 weeks and I wanted to give you an update on my progress so far. Lets rewind for one moment and talk about why I started using it for lash growth.
I was born with very long eyelashes. When I was 13 I started wearing mascara and my eyes suddenly became my favorite part of my face. Fast forward a few years later and about 11 months ago I decided that I wanted my eyelashes even longer then they were (stupid move on my part) and I got individual lashes done at the nail salon with my friend. I loved it. I didnt have to wear strip lashes anymore, I had glamourous lashes that made my eyes pop even more and they were great...then they started to fall out unevenly. I ended up with part of my real lashes on one side of my eye and the fake lashes stuck to the other. I hated it and didnt have time to go back to the salon so I decided to take them off myself and I did so telling myself they would grow back if I accidently ripped them out. Well, it didnt exactly happen that way. I was devastated. It was at that point that I realized how foolish I was and how much of a good thing I had before the fake lash fiasco.
For about 2 months I wore strip lashes to hide my short tiny lashes then one day I got sick of it and took them off. I figured I had to face them once and for all and let them breath so they can finally begin to grow back without being clogged up with lash glue. Then one day browsing on blackhairmedia.com's message board I came across a thread by women who grew their lashes out long with JBCO. They all ordered it off sams online and had great success. I literally yearned for their results and tried to figure out a way to order this JBCO without breaking the bank in shipping fees to Canada. Unfortunatly, I wasnt able to get it off Sams site so I bought regular castor oil and applied it to my lashes. They grew thicker and stronger but not as long as I was hoping they would get which was back to their pre-ripped out length.
3 weeks ago I became unemployed and faced with uncertainty and a realization that I was fearful of the worst case scenario that had already happened I decided not to curl up and fall deeper into depression but look at this event as God saying, "wake up, your life is much more then this job which is stressing you out to the point where you doubt the gifts and abilities I have given you." I felt like He was rescuing me from the people and circumstances happening at the time and I was given a chance to live, breath and finally for the first time LIVE. That job had me living only for it and gettingnothing but stress, and abuse, that was manifesting itself into physical symptoms that just werent worth it in the end. So I got out of bed, showered but on my makeup and my best lacefront wig, jumped in my shiney new car that was sitting int he dirveway and my mother and I went grocery shopping. While we walked through the local mall to pick up some other things that I was putting off because that job wasnt paying me well and not only that I just was neglecting period because I was so stressed out. I wandered into a African Beauty Supply store to buy some Black Soap and Shea Butter. On a whom I asked the owner if he had JBCO and he didn. I was so happy. I came home, washed my face with the black soap and applied the castor oil to my lashes.
JBCO Lashes Update
The first thing I noticed was the lashes on my right eye were beginning to fan out and small hair bumps were forming on my left eye lid. Within about 14 days those buds sprouted hair and my right eye lashes began to get really long. My left eye lashes are darker, and thicker and fanned out. My right eye lashes are fanned out and longer then my left eye lashes. At that point I decided I wanted my right eye lashes to grow more in the areas that they were sparse; in other words where I had done the most damage extracting the fake lashes from my real ones. I took a q-tip, dipped it in the castor oil and rubbed it on my lashe line. Its working. I see a few tiny hair bumps on the lash line and I notice when I put on mascara my right eye looks as thick as my left eye lashes.
SO my verdict so far on this? Definetly try it! Both eyes are pretty long and getting to the length they were before I messed them up. I recently put on my rimmel mascara and maybelline mascara and stood back and went, "wow!". Ive been using both mascara's (2 mascara method) for about 2 months now and itgave ne a definiete thicker look but not the length I was looking for but it looked better then before. Now, instead of the mascara wearing my lashes my lashes are wearing the mascara and popping!
I didnt take any before pics because quite frankly my lashes were so paper thin that they really didnt show up on the camera. I tired, sorry. But please try this. I apply it twice a day morning and night and consistency is definetly the key.
Have a good night ladies and gents :)

JBCO and Lash growth Update
Vagina's, Yogurt, and no Panty's oh my!!
Hey ladies,
Now this post is opinion only. Its not something I have tried but I have read quite a few different posts that suggest this works.
Recently I was intrigued by a woman on youtube who claimed that her vagina smelt and tasted so good that men would often stop right in the middle of going down on her to ask why her vagina was so different then the other (smellier) ones they had encountered in the past.
Her answer is simple-Yogurt. Yes, you read that right. I'm dead serious! Yogurt!
She claims in addition to cleaning her vagina with feminine products, and good ol soap and water she also spoons about 2 tsp's of plain yogurt up her vagina once a week at bedtime (or some other point in the day) throw on a panty liner (to catch any drainage). The yogurt acts as a psuedo PH balancer by replenishing the good bacteria in the vagina. It it has been her secret to a fresh pum pum and she wants to share it with everyone else.
Well, as you might imagine it caused a bit of a stir on the blogs. She was called a fool, a liar, crazy, stupid and the list went on. It was basic outrage...BUT, amidst all the hoopla were voices of agreement from other women who had successfully tried this technique and had the smiling testimonies of husbands, bf's and some girlfriends singing the praises of their fresh tasting, sweet smelling vagina's. SO! My question to you is would you spoon some plain yogurt (she emphasized that it had to be plain in order to work) up your vagina to achieve a fresh smelling, sweet tasting va jay jay?
I think shes telling the truth. She snagged an Egyptian husband 4 months after meeting him and it might not just have only been for her pretty looks and awesome personality. So there might be some truth to this. Hmmmm, yogurt anyone?

Natural Diva Inc
Good morning Lovelies!!!
Yes, it has been a LONG time. Alot has been happening with stress from my job spilling over into my personal life. I would come home drained and depressed coupled with therapy from my accident and the last thing I wanted to do was come on here and share make up. Sorry for that.
But I am back-jobless but renewed with faith that God is in control and he has a divine plan that is working this situation out for me.
I recently embarked on a natural journey. My hair is already natural so thats fine but I noticed that my skin wasnt so I decided to change that.
To start off I'll let ya all know I have sensitive skin. I also have exzema so I have to be careful of what I put on my face and also I have to always make sure its mositurized or my exzema will come back and I really dont want that. Lately I noticed that I was breaking out ALOT and no matter what I did my face just wouldnt calm down. I figured it was my diet so I tried to cut certain foods out but it didnt help. The last straw was when I came home from playing mas in Caribana, washed my face and woke up the next morning with 3 really big bumps on the side of my face. At that point I said forget it. AS much as I loved Aveeno I had to admit that right now it wasnt working out for me and I needed to make a change or my complextion and face were going to conitnual to spiral down to a place that I didnt want it to go.
So this Monday August 8th 2010 I went to the African Beauty Supplystore down the stret from me and bought some African Black Soap (the real stuff thats bown not the commercialized black bar of soap), a small bag of shea butter and some Jamaican Black Castor Oil. I have small half sized sandwich bags so I broke off a piece of the ABS (African Black Soap) lather my fingers under some running water and lather it on my face andproceed to wash away. It works well to wash off make up aswell. I then dampen my face with water and seal it on with some EVOO (Extra Virgin Oilive oil). Yes EVOO. I have naturally oily skin and after doing some research coupled with an example from a real life 40 y.o African woman who looks 25 *we asked and she told us she swears by EVOO on her face before bed time. Not a wrinkle in sight and I decided to give it a try. I am pleased. The ABS cleans my face really well and seems to be fading my dark spots. I usually wake up with a new bump somewhere on my face so far nothing. My face drinks up the olive oil and leaves it touchable soft. I am going to do a review next monday and give my 1 week prgress report on my experience with using this regimen. Its simple and I really like that.
Shea Butter
I plan to use this on my hair and skin, namely my feet. I loove my pedicaure lady but $35 plus tip every 2 weeks starts to add up. I want to visit her less often especially now that I am being conservative with my money so I am excited to get on this venture. I plan to mix my shea with some coconut oil and apply that to my hair.
JBCO (aka Jamaican Black Castor Oil)
K, I am SUPER DUPER excited about this oil. I have been trying to get my hands on this product for what seems like FOREVER! I finally have. I have a small 4 oz bottle for $10 that I was finally able to track down. YIPEE for me.
I plan to use it for the following
*combine with with my mega-tek and apply it to my scalp twice a day
*rub it on my eyelashes to increase the growth rate
*rub it on my hairline-now I dont have a damaged hairline but I want to maintain what I have because I wear alot of synthetic LF's and I dont want the combs and the edges rubbing it off
*Disclaimer...
My next post is going ot be about something really personal to women. So if you are not easy with reading about vagina's and the common issues that they have then please skip over this next post. Dont say I didnt warn you
